A performance showcase of new work by LGBTQ+ artists

This special performance event during Hastings Pride Month will be a unique opportunity to enjoy live performances from three hilarious and often outrageous LGBTQ+ artists who will each present extracts of brand-new work.

Featuring Lucy McCormick, Katy Baird and Paris Grande.

Part of a Double Bill with Duckie presents ‘Queer History Club: Hastings’, an exploration of queer life in the 18th century at 2pm

Also part of Pride at the Stables, a collection of LGBTQ+ perfomance every Sunday in August at the Stables Theatre programmed by Hastings Pride 2021.

Artists

Lucy McCormick

Lucy McCormick blends stand-up, performance art, music and dance to deliver blistering mixed-genre shows that have thrust her from a cult following on Britain’s queer club circuit to mainstream acclaim. With two sell-out runs at Soho Theatre and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival under her belt Lucy is a force to be reckoned with.

Katy Baird

Katy Baird often finds herself in uncomfortable situations of her own making. She describes herself as an ‘old, queer, fat, female deviant’ who uses performance to ‘expose the hypocrisy and lies of the world we live in’. Funny, sexy, shocking and a little bit grim – you are unlikely to forget a Katy Baird show!

Paris Grande

Hastings’ very own lip sync extraordinaire and professional mischief maker Paris Grande turns it up for every performance. A high energy Pop Princess she uses the lens of drag to explore the world we live in. Expect dancing, loud music and a whole lot of sass.
