The 20th year of Coastal Currents. A community festival at its core, Coastal Currents looks to work with local artists on site-specific pieces to create a legacy concerned with bringing more art to the streets around us, and helping us look at our towns and spaces in a new and often intriguing light. With hundreds of artists taking part in the Open Studios and 36 individual events and exhibitions over the course of the whole month of September.
Home Live Art are delighted to once again be curating a significant performance programme across Hastings as part of the Coastal Currents Arts Festival 2018.
This year Home Live Art will produce five performance events during the festival including a contemporary performance showcase at the Printworks, an outdoor participatory drag show for young people in Hastings town centre and an interactive art installation outside the Blue Reef Aquarium running throughout the whole of September.
We will also be launching Salty, our new regular queer performance party and will debut the first Performance Salon, featuring a programme of live performances in a local house.
Coastal Currents runs from the 1st till 30th of September 2018, the festival programme is packed with events, performances, and open studios.
