Home Live Art are recruiting new Trustees
Home Live Art seek dynamic, motivated people who are passionate about the arts to join our board of trustees.
Following our relocation to Hastings and the appointment of our new Artistic Director Katy Baird in 2018 we are at the beginning of an exciting new phase in our development as we shape the future of the organisation and its vital role in the local arts and cultural ecology.
As a trustee of Home Live Art you will be responsible for supporting and guiding the organisation as well as ensuring the financial and legal requirements of running a company and charity are all met.
You will be expected to take an active interest in the organisation, regularly attending Home Live Art events and help us outside of the board meetings to achieve various organisational goals.
This voluntary role is a rewarding way to make a difference. By contributing your skills, ideas and knowledge you will help Home Live Art to develop and grow in our mission to create extraordinary shared experiences that change the way we experience the world.
Previous trustee experience is not required. We are eager to hear from interested individuals with a broad range of backgrounds and expertise, and would encourage anyone who feels they can bring value to the board to apply.
Expertise we are actively seeking include:
– People with links to local business, property and community groups in Hastings
– Marketing and communications experience
– Experience of charity administration
– Experience/knowledge of arts and networks outside the UK
– Artists with experience of working in participation
This list is merely ‘desirable’ so if you’re interested, please do get in touch!
We particularly welcome applications from individuals from under-represented groups and people under the age of 35.
Home Live Art’s Board meets 4 times a year in Hastings, usually on weekdays between 6-8pm with one further ‘Board away day’ taking place towards the end of the year.
Trustees are asked to commit to a minimum term of three years with an option of a further three years if desired.
To apply to be a Home Live Art trustee please send either a cover letter (max. 1 side of A4) or an audio/video description (3-min max) explaining your interest in Home Live Art and what skills and experience you have that make you a good fit for the role of trustee. If you wish, please also include a recent CV and/or a link to your website.
Send to katy@homeliveart.com with the subject heading ‘Home Live Art Board Recruitment’ by Monday 4th November.
If you’d like an informal chat about becoming a board member beforehand email our Artistic Director, Katy Baird at katy@homeliveart.com.
